TMG provided design-build services for the demolition and replacement of Air Handling Unit #9 (AHU#9), ductwork, ceiling and associated equipment serving B areas at the Ft. Belvoir location. The existing system had been in place in excess of 40 years, long exceeding its 25 year design life.
The project involved the approval, procurement, installation, and commissioning of a new 60-ton Trane AHU model and included ductwork, VAV boxes, controls and interfaces to the building monitoring system (FMCS), diffusers and fans, humidification systems and piping, ceiling grid and lighting systems. The new system was designed and installed to integrate into the existing reverse osmosis system in place in Upper C block.
The project affected 16,500 SF of personnel office space.
