On July 11th, TMG accepted the 2019 STEP Platinum Award from Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Virginia Chapter (ABC-VA). ABC-VA recognized the STEP Award Winners at the organization’s Annual Summer Fest which was held at ABC-VA’s headquarters in Dulles, VA.
Moose Hamid, Joe Matthews, John Matthews, Anthony Conerly, Joe Rodenbeck, (Front Row L-R) and Simone Johnston, Jason Lynch, Rick Wilson, Alan Weiss, Don Winpigler and Rusty Cook (Back Row L-R) represented TMG at the event.
The STEP (which stands for Safety Training Evaluation Process) Platinum award demonstrates TMG’s outstanding safety performance and commitment to training and incident prevention. Only 3 percent of the entire ABC membership meets the exacting standards of the Platinum designation. In order to receive the Platinum level award, TMG must have a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of at least 25% below the average, a very low Experience Modification Rate (EMR), zero OSHA citations in the last three years, and high marks on ABC’s 200 Key Safety Components score card.
This is the fifth time TMG has received this award, having earned the STEP Gold award in 2011 and the STEP Platinum award in 2012, 2016, and 2018.
