“A groundbreaking ceremony for the KOKV Hangars project at Winchester Regional Airport was held on Friday, February 18. Purcellville-based TMG Construction Corporation hosted the groundbreaking for the first building of Phase I of the project.
The first phase of the project involves construction of eleven box-style hangars grouped into two buildings along the southeast side of Winchester Regional Airport. Building 1, which broke ground Friday, will be approximately 20,000-square-feet and will include six hangars. Construction of Building 1 will be complete this summer, and TMG will then commence construction of Building 2.
“We started this journey of developing this hangar project just over a year ago when the Airport Authority accepted our Public Private Partnership offer,” said Joe Matthews, Executive Vice President of TMG Construction. “This project is a great example of what can be accomplished when trust and respect are the foundation for people working together towards a common goal.” “
